The Pinch Charleston

We had an amazing stay at The Pinch in Charleston! The staff was so welcoming and the complimentary welcome drink was such a nice touch. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. The location couldn’t have been better being just steps from King Street, with easy access to everything. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Charleston!

Charleston Place has forever been our go-to. But the new owner seems to have done away with many of the little luxuries made this hotel special. In the past couple of years, we’ve stayed at a few other Charleston hotels, none of which merited a return visit. On our last trip, however, we stayed at The Pinch. So glad we did! The Pinch is well run, charming, clean, comfortably elegant. The staff is accommodating and attentive, the rooms and suites nicely sized. A different vibe from the bustle of Charleston Place, true; still, we were so pleased with this place. We’ll be back.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Pinch. The design is stunning—charming, modern, and thoughtfully curated. Our suite felt more like a beautifully furnished apartment, with a full kitchen, laundry, and plenty of space to relax. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the location on King Street couldn’t be better—close to everything, but still peaceful. A true gem in Charleston. Can’t wait to come

Redefining Elegance: We frequent Charleston often and needed a home away from home that wasn’t your typical brand hotel chain. We found it at the Pinch. It was obvious from our phone inquiry prior to booking that this hotel was going to meet or exceed our expectations. The associate on the phone was personable, responsive and eager to help us tailor the right fit for our three night stay. On checking in, likely the same associates greeted us warmly with smiles, conversation and the understated comfort and refined luxury of the space. Our room was phenomenal. A second home for travelers looking to establish a spot that we can ( and will) return to. Even the housekeeping services were two levels above the standard hotel. High praise to management for their staff’s training and their design teams execution creating this subtle masterpiece.

Everything about The Pinch was perfection. It's charming, elegant and welcoming. The location is incredible and makes popping in and out of the hotel easy, particularly if shopping or dining on King Street and for getting around downtown in general. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed with upscale, modern furnishings and the high-end kitchenette in the room was a major plus. The staff (especially, Taylor!) was fantastic and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We loved our experience at The Pinch and will absolutely return.

Our stay at The Pinch Charleston was nothing short of exceptional. We booked the Townhouse for Memorial Day Weekend, and from the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The space was beautifully designed—seamlessly blending Charleston charm with modern comfort. High ceilings, curated decor, and thoughtful touches made it feel more like a luxury residence than a hotel. The service was warm and attentive without ever being intrusive. Every request was met with genuine hospitality. Traveling with our 10-month-old son, we were especially grateful for how accommodating the staff was—providing everything we needed to make the weekend both relaxing and memorable. The location couldn’t be better. We were within walking distance of incredible restaurants, historic sites, and the best of downtown Charleston, yet the townhouse felt like a private retreat. The Pinch has mastered the balance between design, comfort, and service. We left already dreaming about our next stay.

Wow! The Pinch is so beautiful. We got the King room (no balcony) and wow we were so impressed. It was a full on apartment with a fully stocked kitchen with top tier appliances and cooking tools, not to mention the cutest cozy breakfast nook for a dreamy coffee and pastries moment. The daily breakfast offerings were also top tier with lots of options - three types of individual sized quiche, four or five different pastries, yogurt, granola, fruit! The whole she-bang. Like others mentioned, the bed was comfy enough. Though we often struggle to find a bed that's as cozy as ours at home so we anticipate this any time we travel. Location wise, the Pinch was central to everything via a 5-10 minute walk in any direction. We truly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be choosing the Pinch again when we return to Charleston.
